Hi, In 2014, NASA awarded $1.1 million to The Center of Theological Inquiry, an ecumenical institute in New Jersey for interdisciplinary research in the field of religion, to study “the societal implications of astrobiology.” It further states that detection of extraterrestrial life is more a question of when, not if. It also points out that in 2000, astronomers knew of about 50 of the planets outside our own solar system; by 2013 this number reached 850; and it may reach 1 million by 2045. Life on other planets, which raises both scientific and theological/philosophical issues and poses various challenges, has been a hotly discussed topic for quite some time; and approaches to the possibility and theological handling of aliens are highly diverse across various religions. Even back in 1714, English clergyman/theologian/philosopher William Derham published a book titled “Astro-Theology Or a demonstration of the being and attributes of God from a survey of the heavens.” For More Details animated sales videos
